I'm not quite sure how much I love, love, love them when tey are cranky like that, which is certainly often enough, but it is nothing less than amusing. Looks like my Mama silkie is gearing up to go brooody again. She biit me when I went to ttake eggs from under her. Great! This will make 3 BROODIES! I only hhave 3 nest boxes. Looks like I'm on the hunt for hatching eggs... AGAIN. I'm gonna try quail and chukar eggs this time. I hhave enough chickens for now. I know I'm giving in, but I can't seem to break these crazy broodies and I'm gettiing tired of it.

Yeah, that's really stressful. By saying I love cranky broody silkies, I love watching videos of them. Dealing with them as broodies (especially when it's so hot) is tough work. And then there's the stress of working out what to do with the extra roosters.
