Have you tried baiting it with cat food? I pet sit and have run into a few that terroize the cats over the catfood bowls. They are bold too! They only run a little ways away - or don't run at all - and just stare at me while I work. I swear I'm gonna start packing a gun one of these days

We use marshmallows for coons. One smart one had to have peanut butter and marshmallows and jelly beans. Usually the marshmallows alone do the trick, though. Good luck!

make a fake nest with store bought eggs in the back of the trap, surround the trap with a few hay bales so it doesn't 'look' like a trap. Bet you can catch him with his favorite meal
