What oh-so-clever ideas have you installed to keep those oh-so-hungry predators out of your coop?
My Dad helped me build my coop underneath an old play set. The run is kind of small but they're going to free range when they're bigger. Anyway, we used galvanized cage wire instead of chicken wire for the run to prevent wire tearing. We dug a trench a foot deep all around the coop and run, nailed cage wire to the bottom of the coop and run so that it extended down to the bottom of the trench and filled the entire trench with concrete. Also the door has two lock mechanisms on it in case one fails. Pictures coming soon (as soon as I finish painting!)
