Predator picking off chickens One by One

I live in Australia, no raccoons here. Would recommend you move the flock inside or somewhere until you predator proof the coop. Use aviary mesh/ hardware cloth, PLEASE! I know it's expensive, but so worth it. Chicken wire's only use is to keep the chickens in, it will NOT stop predators.

Sad to say but when you free range, sooner or later you will loose birds. I don't free range any more but my birds all have nice large pens. I have electric wires around my coops and pens, concrete under the gates and good heavy duty netting covering all of the pens all due to losses from predators in the past. Around the perimeter of my pens is just chicken wire but in some places I have welded wire also. Because of the electric wires, I have had no intrusions. I have seen plenty of predators around. I have several game cameras up to monitor the predators that pay a visit. This video is at my chick/grow-out coop last night. A bobcat. Good luck...
