Predator Problems: a warning to all

It's about building that predator proof coop! Many of us learned the hard way, and it's too bad that everyone doesn't build right the first time!
I'm glad that you are keeping your birds safe.

thank you
There is only one hen left in that coop and I'll bet you $1000000 she'll be dead tomorrow.

A new warning: Predators come back. Your favorite hen may be next, so act on the FIRST ATTACK.

holy crap fisher cats? They're like mini wolverines...would be hard to have a chicken tractor set up in your area eh? Not impossible to make them secure, but pretty dang hard I bet.

Fischers are just horrible creatures. You should put out a trap with a sliced apple and then SSS. Our fischer didnt go for the cat food, but a raccoon did. He messed up my trap, so as soon as I get it fixed I'm going after the fischer again. That or I'm gonna sit out in my deer stand in the mornings and wait for him. I HATE fischers!

To puffpoo22:
I'm very sorry to hear of your loss.
Back when Farmer Bourn had chickens, a coon took all but two out. I went out and hunted the varmint. It was a young coon and it was hiding in a tree in the southeast pasture.
I shot it with a .22 rifle. It was horrible to kill something, but it took out over 20 chickens. These weren't pet chicken but still... I had to do something!

My condolences to you again because now I own silkies and silkie mixes and I care about my chickens!
