If you were starting a new run, and you wanted it safer than Fort Knox, how would you build it?

this is in imaginary world where money is no object?

i'd go with 4x4 support structures. the fence/roof would be 100% 1/4"x1/4" hardware cloth with two feet buried and set in concrete. also, i'd have a floodlight on motion sensor on the coop. finally, a couple of strands of high tensile hot wire around the outside to keep out the bears.

    well, i can dream, can't i?

Hmm..haven't thought about all of it, but if I could afford to, I would double fence it [IMG] Like they do with dog kennels or zoo enclosures [IMG]

Heck Joe, if you've already spent 2K on the coop, what's another 20 C-notes for the run? [IMG]

I'm thinking platinum hardware cloth may be the way to go to insure you don't come in under budget . [IMG]
