Made eggs. Separated small piece for just her and put medicine on it. So that worked. It's only once a day so I be able to do that successfully.

I would administer it in her mouth to make sure she gets it.
It’s easier with two people. Have one person hold the bird, in a towel if you like. Hold the birds mouth open with your left hand and administer the liquid down the right hand side of the birds mouth. You have to try to get the syringe down her throat against her cheek a bit. Putting it in the well of the beak under the tongue can also work. With that one do small amounts and let go so she can swallow.
For future reference next time ask for pill form if they have it. I find it easier.

Meloxicam is an anti inflammatory and pain reliever. From what I know about it, you have to administer quite a lot of it so maybe the food route is better. And it’s good tasting.
Make sure you give that in the morning, not at night so she can be comfortable during the day.
She may have eaten fast and got some egg stuck in her throat. Or the meloxicam is sticky so she may be feeling that in her throat.
Good news, Meloxicam has no egg withdrawal time. You can eat her eggs. I’m not sure why the doctor would have told you you couldn’t. It’s chicken ibuprofen.

I’ve never had any avian vet tell me there was an egg withdrawal time for any prescription pain reliever/anti inflammatory I’ve ever received. Antibiotics, yes.
A decision just depends on what tolerance you have for eating eggs with pain reliever/anti inflammatories in them. Meloxicam is administered to humans, too.
