Predators and communicable disease?

DH is worried that predators that are mammals carry communicable disease which could affect our poultry and/or their eggs.

I promised I would post. Does anyone know?
 
Most diseases are host specific meaning they would have to mutate to go from one species to another. I would be more worried about the wild bird population spreading both disease and parasite to your birds.
