I am trying to figure out what type of coop to build for my 4 pullets. I have a fenced in backyard (privacy) and I think I should mainly be concerned with night time predators such as possums and racoons. Should i be concerned about predators being able to dig under a chicken tractor if im only thinking of racoons and possums?

Also forgot to add, they will free range supervised and there will be a roof on my tractor or coop, so I am not so concerned with hawks.

Yes. Weasels could also be an issue, 1/2" x 1/2" hardware cloth on all openings of coop. A tractor is probably not going to be very safe for 24/7 protection.

Ok. Thanks. I'm thinking that allowing them out in backyard during day will work well.
