Yes, can't tell where you are from, but I'm in a rural area where it isn't only legal to shoot dogs that raid, harass or kill livestock, it's expected.

Depending on your neighbors, if you cannot warn them, or don't wish to, call the police/sheriff and animal control no warning. Find out if animal control will come take any if you can live trap them, some won't, but be sure to tell them they're preying on your chickens, they may change their tune if they know that. If they won't, will they take them if you deliver (assuming it's possible for you)

If you are in a rural area and can shoot them, I'd do it, but that's not for everyone and I understand that.

Laws vary from area to area. Unbelievably, there are areas where if you dispatch someone else's dog on your own property, you can be prosecuted. Fortunately that is not the norm.

I've no tolerance for dogs wandering on my property. I've trapped several and spray painted a bulls eye on them and sent them home. I killed one that had one of my birds in its mouth.

If they are packing up, they are becoming much more dangerous. Packed dogs tend to be far more fearless and aggressive. If need be, use foot hold traps on your property. Once caught, you can either call animal control to come remove it, or discretely dispatch and get rid of the carcass.

I don't really know how to put where I'm from but, I live sort of country but, we live near thecity and I don't know who's dogs they are.

Look up the number for Animal Control, call them and talk with them. Ask some questions about your rights as a chicken owner, and the dog owners responsibilities, and what you can do to protect your hens. Since they're penned, and on your property, I'd think the dog owners are almost soley at fault.

//edit// be sure to mention that the dogs seem to be traveling in a pack. that should get their attention because a pack of dogs is a much bigger threat to humans, especially children who are very vulnerable, and tend to run which can trigger a pack instinct to chase prey.
