Prefered watering system

I'm new to this chicken craze, but its really caught my attention. My girls are around 9 weeks old...my best guest. We water them with a double walled gravity thingy. They do tend to dirty it a bit. It gets cleaned out once a day and I've been placing a frozen water bottles inside to give them some cold water in this heat. I picked up a nipple drip nozzel, but have yet mounted to anything so far. Still busy building this ongoing monolithic of a hoop coop...lol. I'm sure the nozzels are less maintainance, but I like the idea of checking on them daily and interacting with them...so changing out the water for me is fine. Now ask me this winter and my answer might be different.

I hear ya, I`m new as well so learning too. I asked cause I have two gravitys, big and little in two diff places but found my girls enjoying the drip from a condensation pipe which was about beak level. So, I am to please. Crazy birds. I check and clean a couple times a day to, I`m drawn. Just wanna make sure they are hydrated ya know.

I'll eventually get around to trying both methods. They can never have enough fresh water. With my work hours it makes it tough to stay on a routine schedule for them girls.

Glad to have you. I'm in the same position. Trying to get stuff done. One step at a time. I have the little drinking cups that fit on the side of a 5 gallon bucket. But no time. Still cleaning waterer out daily.
