Preggo dog question

My miniature schnauzer is 48 days pregnant. The past few days she has had some vaginal discharge. It does not smell and has only a very light yellow tinge. I have not bred dogs since I was about 12. I can't remember if my other girl did this. I have read in all of my books and gone to all the sites I can find and cannot find the answer to my ?. I know someone here can help.

If the discharge contains blood or pus, see your veterinarian immediately because it could indicate serious pregnancy complications. scabatz33 is correct. A small amount of discharge is normal. Be sure to keep watch. I take my prego girls out with some white bath tissue and due a quick wipe after potty to keep an eye on this. Be sure to start taking her temp around day 55. Her normal should be around 101. Get a baseline, then take her temp twice a day until whelp. Her temp will drop about 2 degrees within 24 hours or so of whelp. PM me if you need more info. I breed English Bulldogs. Good luck!
