My micro pot belly is pregnant. This is her first time so we have been learning a lot and have a friends who has also had PBPs but she has only had them once. We have been in contact with a breeder friend of hers but still have some questions.
We have the male , who is about 1/2 the size of the female, and they have been kept together. We have seen them breed several times over a few months so are not 100% sure when she got bred. We have a barn camera on her, and are able to spend a lot of time with her so we wont miss her farrowing. We have birthed out many different types of animals from horses to goats and dogs, seems p[igs will be more like dogs than anything.
If anyone has noticed , we would like to know about how far along your pig was when you started to feel the piglets move. We have been feeling them move ( easily) for several days to a week now and we have a doppler and can clearly hear heartbeats.

We have noticed the last few days her vulva is starting to relax a bit, getting a tad bit swollen. Her milk bag isnt real big but starting. Nothing can be expressed yet. The breeder told us she is prolly getting close and some dont get milk til after they farrow. We are prepared incase she goes now or if she holds on for another couple of months.

She is a super sweet girl, loves attention. We have a spot set up just for her with the barn cam to have her piglets where the male cant bother her. I believe we have all opur bases covered, just wish we knew for sure when she is due.

We are not really sure, they were housed together, and we had some real bad weather ( rain/ cold) here in Texas so we werent out there for long periods of time. We just seperated them, so they have a heavy duty hog wire where they can see each other but not be together. She has her own stall she sleeps in at night and its on cam now. I wish I had a due date, but it seems she is making the changes they make towards the last three weeks, or so Ive read...

Wouldnt it be nice if they could read the same things and go " oh I'm 3 months and 3 days along now I need to start doing this now" lol. It sounds like you have everything covered and are doing wonderful. Wish I could help. Please if ya don't mind keep us updated so others can learn from this. Thanks :)

I wish they could read, lol. Ive pretty much covered all the bases, just feel anxious because I dont know WHEN. Haveing never had a pregnant pig before, and her never having had piglets before were on a learning curve for sure.
I keep reading her milk will come in before she farrows , has anyone not had the milk come in? And if it doesnt were you still able to tell she was about to birth?

She is getting restless now, changing locations frequently, and shifting from side to side. Milk bag is bigger bit not huge no milk.... Poor uncomfy girl
