If I were her I wouldn't be too sure about letting anyone put their hands up there...That area is extremely sensitive right now. I lost a baby at about 8 weeks because of an incident similar to this.. Just. be. careful.

its perfectly safe to get an exam in early pregnancy, and if she needs to have that removed, she should make an appointment as soon as possible.

Yikes!! And my OB/GYN suggested I get an IUD after my last pregnancy

I knew there was a reason I didn't want one

Well she went to the doctor today and they are going to leave the IUD in place and watch her closely throughout the pregnancy. Our prayer now is that the baby remains safe, my niece has a good healthy, sick free pregnancy, and for my own selfish reasons -- she has a girl.

we are having another baby in the family -- i am so excited....

aw, big hugs to her! one of my best friends had the same thing happen, an IUD in place for over 2yrs then BAM! she gets preggo.They removed her's though but it was at the very bottom of the uterus and not near the growing fetus (she was almost 10weeks before finding out).

32 weeks is early, but generally not in the woods early. I am at 30 weeks and they told me if I had any blood pressure or liver issues, they would do a c section anytime after 30 weeks.

It sounds this was a sudden premature birth instead of a planned c section, am I right?

I am thinking of you but am also reassured he will be a -OK. He fought through a lot to get here, he's gonna want to stay.

I'd hold your hand if I were there. I know how fearful this is. Your niece has you for support, and that's worth more than I can tell you.
