Hey,
So long story short is that this duckling was left, egg smashed in the ducks nest. Yoke sack was not absorbed so has spent 2 days in the incubator in high humidity / damp cloths and it did go in. After fluffing up I’ve noticed the legs are not at the right angle:
Considered splay leg, wye neck or just deficiency in vitamins?
Sorry I can’t seem to add my video on here. But basically legs forwards so it makes him look like a seated position. When on side the legs bend up. If left unaided duck topples onto side and kicks and kicks.
I hold on my hand and push down into seated position (picture included) and there is no pain or squeaking. I’d held in it seems happy. Can feel as head lifts up the ducklings body wants to throw backwards. Sorry so long and it not clear!
Giving Electrolytes, boiled nettle water for vit b and will try a little boiled egg later.
Hoping some of you have had this before! And can help!
