Prep for keet arrival - questions

I am down to 9 now, this video shows the last one. It was fine, started wobbling as in video. It then began gulping or panting, then died.
Not asking them for refund, isn't their fault. Postal service was sending emails to me tracking their travel. On Thursday a.m. there were 3 when I got up - arrived at facility, out for delivery, arrival by 8 pm, out for delivery, arriving 4:45 pm.
At 4:27 pm I received email from the farm bc post had called them saying they had tried to call me, I hadn't picked up birds.
No one called- I can't drive yet, I was here all day. Post office closed at 4:30 pm.
I collected them first thing Friday a.m., gave save a chic before leaving parking lot. Post lectured me about picking up birds, I asked why they hadnt called me and sent the emails, he said they never deliver live animals. I've received two shipments that say otherwise, and I would have been there had they not indicated they were already out for delivery.
And then came the parent aspect of life, so I've been being toted back and forth to tend to birds and be at hospital.
I knew there'd be loss, didn't expect this much. @2Butterflies ,
was your delivery delayed last year?
Oh poor little one! :hit Well you are clearly doing the best you can to pick them up. I had chicks by USPS and checked with them ahead and knew how it would all happen but it seems to me that you did you’re due diligence. I’d still inquire about refund or replacement if it was me… 🤷‍♀️

Well..I'm still leary of updating. There are 8 left,8 days old, and my last loss was 1 over 24° ago. washed their bums yesterday and they look good today, little wing feathers coming in, eating, drinking, more active - one is a bully toe pecker so gets separated at feeding time.
I went back to last yr to check,
@My2butterflies had said she lost 1/2 of hers & the number of days was abt the same. She was called to pick hers up. So hoping the storm is over.

And storm is brewing so internet not cooperating to transfer pics, but the other two, one is dark like the 2nd pic that I asked if slate, and the last one I'll have to get pic here. It looks like the ones I tagged slate only a bit lighter, muted - so I think pewter. No, wait- they can't all be slate, I ordered 2 slate, 3 bronze, 3 violet, 2 of the others...

Babies!!! I’m really hoping that the rest thrive for you!!! :fl :fl

I would guess that the first is violet or pastel. I could see the difference when I had both violet and pastel at the same time as the pastel head was only slightly darker than body but violet heads were considerably darker than body. I think your second group is slate or pewter as they are both an all shiver foxy brown, but pewter is lighter colored. They look more like my Starla’s intense color that she had as a keet. Starla is a gorgeous color and I think slate is one of the prettiest. I haven’t had any bronze birds but I think that the keets are supposed to pretty much look like royal purple until their final feathering, so I think that keet is too light for bronze. I think that my chocolate was darker as a keet but I found her so confusing so I can’t draw much from her very changeable looks during her keet and juvenile phases. She’s now called Cocoa and has paired with her “dad” the keeticidal cock who killed her clutchmate! Awkward… I’m not able to pass up the opportunity to share some pics so here’s Lil Bit the pastel and Cocoa the chocolate as young keets.

Totally get awkward, btw. I look at Mama/Mia and ask, "boy, you do remember she used to beat the feathers out of you, right??!"🤷‍♀️
Get your vote in there, @R2elk , what've I got?

Remember I said I was hesitant to update-and I lost one that night (Wednesday). The remaining 7 seem to be doing well, active. But I think I said that before.. but I am super happy by how much the coral has grown. It was so tiny that I was worried.
I've not done much handling of them yet, but do sit w/them so they're used to me ("here comes the cleaning lady!!"):jumpy
I have them at the patio door as usual - and as usual the boys come watch in interest, Mama has no interest - and has been on restriction after staying out in the rain one night while we were trying to catch a raccoon.:barnie
Numi - aw, they took away the angry chic picture - (look away r2elk, I'm about to humanize again) - she looked in the door, saw her brooder & those babies, looked up at me with utter disdain. "So THAT'S why you moved me outside??!!!!" She hasn't been back to the door since.

Oh that sucks that you lost that one, but glad the coral blue is hanging in there! I don’t want to be pushy, but just looked back on some posts on the Guinea fowl enthusiasts Facebook forum and saw an older post with someone who lost half of her keets starting a day after arrival. That person reported all that happened to Guinea farm and they sent another complementary order where all survived. Maybe you don’t want the stress of dealing with another shipment, totally your choice of course!!!

Ok, @R2elk ,the 7 keets will be 3 wks tomorrow. I was more focused on their well being than anything else, so I haven't named them l. The problem w/that is that I cld remember "so and so is-" but w/o a so and so, I keep flipping back to descriptions & doubting myself on the colors. What they are isn't important but I'd kind of like to know what they are.
I did order specific colors w/o substitutes, if that matters. Will you please identify the colors? These photos are ofcourse from when they were days old. I haven't taken a 3 wk photo yet.

@R2elk -Ok, these were shortly after hatch, as you'll recall.
Tomorrow they'll officially be 3wks old. Aside from the blue and the midget There are 2 sets of look alikes- are they violets or pastels (lighter),slates or pewters? The off-white I still think is the blond given it's shading.
And the midget...chocolate or bronze? You're right, many are so close in resemblance at hatch that I was kind of scratching my head. Now I'm looking @Mixedflockenthusiast photos trying to decide who they look like.

I'm amazed by how fluffy they are. Before my keets have all been sleek. These look like they were just blow-dried. Likewise, U'm amazed by how much/how often they eat. Don't recall others eating so much. I trust that means they're healthy!
