Prepared my Pekins for belowe zero temps today **Pics**

They are soo cute! With the temps you are talking about I think I'd be tempted to make a place and kiddy pool in the basement if it's below freezing outside. Brrrrr

I think that they will be OK Becky.. they have a Duck House!

I put a large pan in it with a smaller pan in that. Water goes in the small pan and food goes around it in the big pan. Keeps the water mess down. Of course, they only get to eat in their house when it is Arctic weather outside and I don't let them out.

Here is a picture of it this December when we got over 2 feet of snow.

I called it the DUCK CAVE! There is still snow around it, but I try to keep their window unblocked so that sunlight will get in.

They are so cute in the tub. Took no time in cleaning themselves up either did they?

Here they are after the bath.. in their house.. with the new food and water set up. Hopefully their bedding will stay fairly dry this way.

See the sun streaming in the window? We wont be seeing THAT for a few days.

I let Gretchen stand on my lap today and preen herself dry for a while today. They don't want you to catch them, but once I had her, she was fine and friendly.

My camera was downstairs, or I'd have gotten a picture of us..
