I am looking to buy 24 Pullet sized Laying Hens...and 2 Roosters,preferrably Easter eggers this spring. What can i expect to pay for them and where can i find them? I am in Conroe Tx Area

A lot of the hatcheries are mostly sold out for the spring. If you want started pullets, it's best to go local because many places won't ship, and if they do it's an arm and a leg. I would check Craigslist or ask local farmers if they know of any livestock auctions near you.

If none of that works and you are still intent on starting a flock in the spring, check your local feed store, Tractor Supply, or Rural King. They stock baby chicks spring through fall typically. They don't sell pullets, just baby chicks.
