I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

That sounds like a lot of fun! And starting with chickens is a great choice. I started with chickens, then got some guineas, and earlier this year I rescued a very sick turkey chick, who grew up to be my pet turkey Mr.Turkey. You said that you do horses what type of riding do you teach and do?

I can’t imagine having a pet turkey! I ride hunter/jumpers and eventers, so breed of horse isn’t too important, we have everything from thoroughbreds and quarter horses to various mixed breeds. It’s a full time hobby for sure! Here’s a photo from a competition this summer, the horse I rode is named Appy Hour (he’s an Appaloosa) and we call him Red for short.
