I had come in to check the incubator and found the turner had come dislodged. I freaked for a minute and got it back on its track but was afraid it damaged some eggs. Thankfully not.
I have 26 Jumbo Cortunix in. I tried candeling them but couldnt really see anything. Should start hatching this week.
That's awesome! Let me know how you like the Jumbo's meat wise. I'm unsure what type I'll get I assume jumbo is best for meat.

I may have to do the extra male quail we get down the line. I'm not looking forward to it but needs must we can't keep loads of males! I've watched some videos on processing them, but when it comes to it I think I will find it hard. From what I've read it's something that everyone who raises quail has to face.

Think quail are easy on the handling aspect with processing. But emotions I can't help with that part. I didn't name mine or get attached.
