pressure treated lumber?

Is pressure treated lumber safe to use for the hen house? My husband is getting ready to start building ours and asked me, since it releases fumes.

In my opinion yes, have plenty of ventilation if that is a concern. Besides the scare on treated wood is actually on leeching on gardening soil if your a vegetable gardener and building a raise garden and or scare on kids touching rubbing the treated wood on playgrounds exposure. I used treated wood as the foundation frames and the floor boards of my coop and non of those have direct contact with my laying chicken and yet will not rot and fall apart fast. I use FRP boards to cover the treated floor board for easy clean up. Hope this help.
