Not my favorite chickens, but to me by far tops of the pretty list are those little black rosecomb bantams. when you walk by them at the show, its af if they are saying, ....YEP...Im all that & 5 bags of chips. Little living works of art. they were so shiney they looked like a porceline figurine..
There are many pretty chcikens out there, saw some salmon favorells that were a soft red and looked like they had a little white lace skirt on. One of the prettiest chickens I have ever seen.

I like the australorp, not the prettiest chicken on the block but they do have that huge kind eye. Nothing vapid about those eyes. I saw a fighting chciken at a show last year, and he was very big, and he had a very vapid stare, probably to pshyc out his opponent. Yet I somehow felt sorry for him and wanted to give him a hug. He didnt look like he might appreciate it.

What spectacular birds you all have- how tough to choose!
I LOVE the shape and head of Sumatras. They look like exotic jungle birds to me. I have to say, though, that I saw a photo of a Silver Spangled Hamburg rooster that just about knocked my socks off. My favorite color at home is the Columbian coloration. Blanche, my Columbian Wyandotte, really stands out in the yard.

And who can resist lacing of any kind?

For beauty in both the rooster and hen, it's hard to beat the silver Sussex. The rooster is a wild splash of colors, and the hen has beautiful precisely laced feathers. Two very different looks in the same breed. The large size of the birds further enhances the visual impact.
