Prettiest chicken breeds and plumage color

BigBlueHen53 isn’t saying they will not be pretty.
Just that your rooster the chicks’ appearance more than you might think.
Also, the chicks will not be a true breed but rather mutts (mixed).
Same as these dog “designer breeds”. They are also mutts.
I have and love my EEs. By "mutts" I simply mean they are not purebreds and will not breed true. I meant nothing disparaging by it. You need to understand this if you are planning a breeding program.

^^^ This, exactly. Thank you, BoundlessLove.
Most of our hens have lighter colors except for our other wyandotte and the speckled sussex we also have 2 blue hens and the other light colored ones are buffs so will that make the roosters feather plumage traits less influenced in the chicks

Um, not exactly. True Ameraucanas come only in certain specific colors (and I might add, they are a lot more expensive than EE or "Americanas" or "Ameracanas", NOTE SPELLINGS). These others are not purebreds and yes, come in a variety of colors and do not breed true. Buyer beware!
I am well aware. I mostly meant fun colors in terms of Easter Eggers and Murray Mcmurray's version of "Ameraucanas". I didn't have time to write the whole slew on the difference between pure 'canas, Murrays 'canas, and EE, and I didn't think it really mattered at the moment since OP is planning on getting chicks from just Murrays, where pure Ameraucanas aren't an option.

I'd still say that true Ameraucanas come in many fun colors. I believe there are 8 or 9 recognized varieties and a few non recognized colors as well.

I wouldn't call their offspring mutts most of my chickens are beautiful
I believe the correct term would be cross breed, if it's only two different breeds. Anything with 3 or more breeds are considered mixed breeds (AKA mutts) most people on (in my experience) here don't mean the term in an offensive way. I have barnyard mixes and I love mine since it's hard to tell what the chicks will look like. I'm hatching a batch now and can't wait to see what they'll look like.

My absolute favorite is Perdita my
Ermine Ameraucana. She really stands out in the flock.
