I had a Marans who had eggs like that. I’m not sure either but maybe it’s what they do after they lay. She might like to move her egg around after.

This giant belongs to our Black Australorp hen (Bobby) who is starting to lay again after raising a baby turkey!

Australorps are one of my favorite breeds!

This one was laid by Patchy (Bobby’s twin sister) who also likes to lay giant eggs and sometimes they even come out speckled! They are at least four years old and their eggs have been getting bigger!
