This buff nugget is around seven weeks old, I think--it's just starting to get some actual feathering. I'd love it to be a hen, since it's such a snuggle buddy, but the little bit of comb is making me have roo vibes.
I read the guidelines for taking good pictures, but I'll be honest: aside from actually handling the chick, I can't figure out how to make it stay out. I assumed a clear pic in the hand was better than a blurry one while it's on the floor or in a box or something.
I didn't realize that I had already put it back in the brooder cage, and now the lights are out. I can take more photos tomorrow without flash, if that's needed.
