I’ve already posted about this wee babe several times (last post here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/please-tell-me-i-have-a-pretty-pullet.1423993/). Now the baby is older, I still think it’s a pullet. What do you think?

The baby’s mom is a buff Brahma, and the dad is a mutt. I formally believed him to have barred rock genetics, but I now believe it’s more likely Dominique heritage due to his unique rose comb. Baby is 11 weeks old.

Yes. She's beautiful.
In the last post a lot of people said cockerel, but my intuition has been saying this entire time it is a pullet. The Brahma genes have meant this baby is substantially larger than its three other half siblings, at least one of which is without a doubt a cockerel. The other three were all white and have either a blue americauna mom or one of two EE moms. The one that inherited the months looks all boy! Unfortunately, because white with the cheek muffs is adorable.

That's a very red face, comb and wattles for 11 weeks. Doesn't necessarily mean it is a cockerel, but I think it is going to take a while yet to be sure.

I am anxious to find out with 100% certainty.
Yeah, the waiting and uncertainty are annoying. But it's better than being told you 100% have a female only for it to turn out to be a male later. But I'm only one opinion-- the majority says pullet, so there's a reason to be optimistic.
