Pretty sure my house is haunted

anyone else have a haunted house?
We purchased it a year ago last Halloween (that should have been my first clue)
135 years old

First couple of weeks in the house I swore I heard a womans voice in the parlour telling me to get out.
Thinking I just may have seen 1 too many movies I ignored it
Well ignoring it by not going in that particular room for weeks I mean.
I avoided the room and the hallway that leads to it.

My 2.5 yr old daughter and I were having a bubble bath one night when she looks over at the doorway and says "who is that guy?"
I said Whaaaaaaat guy?!^%$#
She said the guy with the beard?


That was it - I got out of the tub and called the area Psychic - believe it or not shes in such high demand the earliest date I could see her was Dec 3 2007 - yes ----- I waited over a year and she came over last Monday night.

Anyways,
She's never seen or been to my house before.
Didn't know why I wanted her over at all.......
She walks into the parlour and stops -

looks at me and says

theres a woman in here and she's the owner

She wants you to know that she wasn't really angry when you moved into her house
She wanted to scare you to see if you would stay
Thought if you stayed then you would be a good person to love her house as much as she did.

I'm not kidding

The psychic "June" had no idea about what had happened to me or any history on this house

Then she tells me about all of the heavy traffic in my house
apparently its full of love but very busy
Being the larger in scale of farmhouses in the day it seems not only would they hold their own wakes for the dead in the parlour but the farmers in the surrounding area would also bring their dead over for family wakes - thus the traffic.....

Then she continues over to the family room to one of the 5 doors - it looks like a closet.
She stands there and says "oh my theres spirits walking by me non-stop here - its a very busy area"

I opened the door and showed her it was really the entrance way to the second staircase (used by the farm hands back in the 1800's cuz they weren't allowed to have access to the other parts of the house)
At the top of this staircase - is a landing - the landing leads to one of the bedrooms PLUS the bathroom - the landing you can see from the tub when the door is open ---- THIS IS WHERE MY DAUGHTER SEES THE MALE APARITION!!!!

The psychic takes one look at my little girl w/o knowing about her seeing things...
Says "your little girl can see - touch and hear them"

I started to cry

I think because it sorta finalized my suspicions and gave me a bit of closure
after having to wait over a year for any kind of explanation

My friend MAMABOYD on here had done some research for me on my house and the owners Mr and Mrs Osborne had 5 girls and 2 boys -----

here they are back in the 1872 when they built my/her house

I asked her why I hear the sounds of work boots clumping thru my halls and on my stairs...

Trish you might find this freaky too but June told me the "woman" had 2 sons and they run up and down the main staircase constantly.
Theres no way she would know that

anyway I just thought I would tell a story that has nothing to do with my chickens for once!!!!

Anyone else have something similar????

Believe for fun, don't believe or believe - whatever floats your boat but I'd appreciate negative people not throw stones.

wow creepy but cool. There is a friend that I know and they have a little girl that haunts there house. When there daughter was younger she use to play with her. THe little girl will also periodically play the piano. That stuff scares me a bit but I like to hear the stories. Thanks for sharing.

You have a beautiful home and a great piece of history too. I love hearing stories like this. Are you going to have anyone else come and see if they give the same information? Did the original home owners die in the house too?

i believe in ghosts but if i had that many in my house, i think i'd be terrified. but i'm a big chicken. you should write into the Montel Williams show, they can have Sylvia Browne come check out your place, plus they might fly you to NYC free to be on the show.

I am normally the last person to believe in anything out of the ordinary. After the death of my awesome Aunt Janice a few years ago.....some events followed that made me really believe that she had a hand in them. The story is too much to get into, but i believe your experiences are real and i hope it does not scare you. They really should have a ghost-etiquette that keeps the bathroom off limits!!!!

I never throw stones, even when my beliefs are different from anothers. The stone thrower is only showing how closed-minded they are and in the end, they are the losers because they will never experience the joy and wonder that comes from opening up your mind to all the possibilities our world has to offer. Having said that, I think your home is absolutely beautiful, maybe even more so because of it's history.
The house I now call home was built brick by brick by my SO and his family (Dad, Mom, handicapped brother and him). When I say brick by brick I mean it! They actually lived in the house when it was nothing but four brick walls and a tarp roof! They bought more materials to build when they got paychecks from outside jobs and bought more land when the paydays came for selling off their broiler chickens and cattle. They built the house at night after working all day. The love that went into building it didn't have to be bought, it was here all along. My SO's family is all gone now, but they are here with us. I often feel them. Sometimes when I can't find something in the kitchen all I have to do is say "okay Mom, where did you keep your so and so? and sure enough I'll find it! Things like that happen all the time around here and not only am I not afraid of them, I embrace them as little gestures of love from his family (that I never had the good fortune to know) to me. One of my favorite parts of this house is the 'caddywampoors' back door. It hangs all kinds of crooked in the frame. My SO told me that his dad was trying to cut the door to fit the frame, but couldn't seem to make it fit. After his third try, he finally gave up....*&^!#$!! he said; that's the THIRD time I've cut this door and it's still too SMALL! Guess he was really tired that night.

That house is beautiful!! I have seen two ghosts in my lifetime and an angel, so I do believe you. Not so sure if I would want to live with them though....don't know what to tell you about that....

I believe you. I have lived in two haunted houses, the first was when I was in grade school, there was a man that lived there and he showed himself in the mirror above the mantle place from time to time. He liked to mess with me sometimes, he would turn the blow dryer on in my parents bathroom when I was home alone. I was more afraid of going into their room to get to their bathroom and turn it off. Their room was off limits to us kids.
The house we just moved into is an old 1900 farm house. The couple I bought my first Irish Setter from called me a few days after we moved in and told me that they read somewhere that the house was haunted. I didn't believe them really and thought nothing of it. A few days later my daughter who's room is (you guessed it) in the attic, told me she was up at 3 am to use the bathroom and something followed her up the stairs, she ran to her bed and covered her head (she's 15 and an honor student that never gives me a lick of trouble) anyway she covered her head and heard her computer chair move closer to her bed and heavy breathing. She told "it" to go away and she said it gave a long "sigh" and walked away. From time to time there is an overwhelming smell of strawberry's. I know two old sisters lived here up until about five years ago and they were always canning and making strawberry jam. I don't feel any fear, I walk around at all hours and am secure. Some ghosts are just a part of the history of the house, they usually mean no harm. My mom thinks they are angels...I'm not so sure about that.

Anyway, I LOVE your house and hope you have many happy and peaceful years there.

I to believe and yes I have lived in a haunted house, it was a old one like yours, I never saw a full body apparition, I would just catch a movement out of the corner of my eye going up the stairs to the 2nd story. I could go on and on about what happened while I lived there but I will not bore you with the details. Laura

The male my daughter sees speaks to her.
I catch her cupping her ear saying talk louder I can't hear you - apparently they talk really fast - really quiet and alot of the time in just gibber - not making any sense.
He told her his name was Campbell and that he is a cow farmer who lives here - at her age theres no way she would know there used to be the cow barn outback - theres only a trace of the foundation left and its buried
He has a beard - his hair his brown and he wears pink (which is odd)
She said he's short
He talks to her all the time and she seems to know when he's in the house and when hes out
