Previous Alerts Confusion

Lets say I have 6 new alerts. When I open the alert field, there may be 20 alerts total, 6 being new and then 14 previous ones that I already looked at. It is hard for me to find where the new alert starts.

Is there someway to make the older alerts have a gray background or something I can easily distinguish what the new 6 alerts are so I don't miss them?

I think they just changed this yesterday.
This last week, the alerts that were unread would all shift to the top so you wouldn’t have to scroll through everything to find the ones where people replied. Just this morning, it doesn’t do that anymore. Now you need to scroll through all of them to find those ones. On my phone, the unread ones have a brown circle in the info box, once read the circle becomes hollow.

Just today I think. Previously it said read and unread.

This must be something on phones only? Because that isn't on my laptop. They ARE in order of when posted, most recent first. But there is no "circle".

You have to hover over each alert with the mouse cursor to see the circle. Not sure how that works on a phone since there is no cursor.
