Price difference ..just curious

I was going through online breeders.. I've ordered hatching eggs twice from Meyers..very happy with them

I came across another site that had started pullets .. I was just curious they are charging like $85 per pullet.
That was for a light brahma

So I wanted to compare to Meyers and mcmurry and both of those hatcheries have the same for a fraction of the price

Why would their be such a difference..? It just blows my mind

Because they can. Rare bird breeds sometimes are costly, specially if they are of good quality stock. Now hatchery birds are of hatchery quality, not rare, not show birds and not heritage types.
We bought chicks that cost $4 each from hatcheries, and we also bought some chicks from breeders that cost $24 a piece, totally different spectrum.

Guess it was much cheaper for me to hatch my little one lol
I hatched a few and bought the rest as babies for a couple bucks each

I just have them as pets ..though I think they are the most beautiful chickens

True I actually have a 3 week old one sitting on me now
If i am gonna pay $85 for a chicken it better lay golden eggs lol
