Just curious to see what everyone pays in different parts of the country for broiler feed.

I get a special milled feed for $9.80 / bag that is 24% protein.... fishmeal and roasted soybeans being the protein ingredients.

Is this pretty close to everyone elses feed suppliers? I think it's a little high but layer feed is right at $6.90 a bag, so I guess it's not going down anytime soon.

add 6 or 7 dollars for layer feed here in michigan

I only go to the mill for some stuff, but TSC for bag size feed. I don't have a truck anymore and have a hard time taking home half a ton of feed

This batch is getting organic 20% grower mash from Morrison's Feed here in VT. It's $24 per 50lb bag. The organic stuff is about $9 more per 50lbs than the regular. We give them organic feed in the spring as we trade meat for eggs with friends who raise organic layers. I then do a batch that I feed regular feed to in the fall to save costs.

Im around $8-$9 for 24%. (dependng on what grains and seeds) I mix in But with no fish meal, cant find it here.

My layer food gets much much more expensive due to added flax, sunflower, alfalfa, saflower...
Id love to find fish meal here for a reasonable cost.

Wow. You people have it good. 16% Layer feed in my neighborhood is $9.3X per 50# bag. The 22% gamebird I've been feeding the Jumbo Rock Xs is right at $11 per 50# bag. Maybe I need to shop around more - I'm in the heart of chicken country (Tyson farms everywhere), so you'd think feed would be less expensive.
