Price of started pullets nowadays?

How much do you guys sell 6-7 week old pullets for?

Assuming you buy them from a hatchery, pay for feed, bedding, etc.

What's your pricing for ordinary breeds vs. specialty? (e.g. BPR & RIR vs. EE or Speckled Sussex)

Last year I did $13 for ordinary and $15 for specialty. The latter were snapped up, but the former didn't sell for a couple weeks.

The poultry farm down the road charges $25 for pullets (any breed). You can get them from age 6 weeks to 18 weeks.

Same place charges $5 for chicks.

We charge $25 and have no issues with selling. We will go down a bit if they are buying 10 or more. Might go to 20/22 depending on breed. Chicks are high this year if you order them to start. Those we hatch on site we have to vaccinate etc.

Hatcheries charge a lot for started pullets. $25 is very reasonable.
