" Pried From Her Cold Dead Hands"

I thought it was going to be a post about some guy taking a gun from an NRA person. I guess Granny must have loved her recipes. Humorous but in bad taste.

I think this ad is in extremely bad taste, and the guy is a jerk for posting it. I believe in Karma and I hope his grandkids show him the same level of respect when he meets his ultimate end.

I can not believe this ad!!!!!!! Four people bid on it!

There are people out there would LOVE to have an old time recipes and I am guessing that is one way of getting some when no one has it. There are thousands of recipes however maybe one or two ingredients, it just don't taste right.

I'd bet he got it in a box lot at an estate sale or something and thinks it's funny. It's not.

ETA: At the risk of being blasted, I'll admit right now that the first thing I check for at estate sales are recipe boxes and notebooks. It saddens me that the family doesn't want to keep them, but I add them to my collection gladly. I think they are great. I have one notebook where the lady wrote down recipes along with who gave her the recipe and her review of it afterwards.

I think someone should buy them and treat them with the love and respect that obviously went into keeping them over the years. Yes, distasteful, but someone can take this wrong and make it a right.

Bad taste and disrespectful-joke or not.

I adored my grandmother and wish she were still around to share her recipes with me-man could she cook.

I say why not LOL and the relatives of hers would be ticked off at him for selling it.

If you look at the history, he might be an antique seller.
