I was wondering if it would be ok to sprinkle some probiotic powder (called FastTrack) over my chicks feed about once a week just to keep their systems running well.

If it is what I am thinking of, they make it for farm animals but there should be some sort of instruction on the package. If there isn't I wouldn't do anything without calling the company. I use yogurt for the same purpose.

It is approved for farm animals, and it is supposed to be used at your discretion. I know how to use/feed it (been given it to my show animals for years) but I was wondering if it was fine as far as does it actually help, when is too early to give it, etc. I could feed out a steer just perfect but I'm new to the chicken thing!

I've been giving my chicks probiotics since day 1 and at 19days now I haven't lost one yet & they are all in great health! They have never drank any water without it...I use Probiotic Chick Boost by Equerry's Probiotic Solutions...equerrys.com
Its GREAT stuff!
