I sold a Wii on ebay about 3 weeks ago, the lady instantly paid me, but never gave me her address, so after a week of e-mailing she finally got back on and asked why she hasn't recieved it, I told her because I didn't have her address. So we agreed to ship it that Wednesday. I shipped it out like I said I would, but stupid me didn't get a tracking number! It's been 2 weeks and she is still claiming she has not recieved and she filled a complaint with paypal, paypal then took the $275 out of my account with out me even knowing it. She says she will send the Wii back once she gets it. But I mean it's been 2 weeks, how can she not have recieved it yet! I have a feeling I am being lied to, and now I'm out $275 and a wii

.. I bet she's playing it right now and laughing at my stupidity

Sorry for the vent.

Does she live in Canada?
It will take at least an entire month to go through customs. Contact paypal and let them know. They usually hold the money so it doesn't get spent. Not take it back. This looks weird.

Can you get with her post office to see if she recieved it. At that price she could be (dare I say it?)
Lying.

No she's not in Canada, I live in CT and it was going to Sioux, SD. I called my PO and they said there is nothing they can do because I didn't get a tracking number, so they can't look it up.

Did you not insure it?? An insurance slip has a tracking number.

Do you at least have the receipt from when you paid to ship it, if you did not insure it?? There is a number on that receipt that goes on the package. They can tell if it was delivered, they just don't want to 'cause you didn't pay for the tracking service (which really is nothing more than confirmation that it was delivered). Keep going to your post office, ask to speak to the postmaster, 'till someone will help you out.

Yes, it is better to have had the delivery confirmation with that number, but the package has to be identified in their system some way, kwim? Keep asking for help from your PO!! Go to another PO if you have to!

Unfortunately It sounds like a very expensive lesson to learn that humans cannot and should not ever be trusted.

In future Use ONLY UPS, or FEDEX. and include the insured shipping in the cost of whatever you sell.

If you have the receipt the post office can track the package, they just don't want to. Tell them the address may be wrong and to check the "Dead Mail" bins. Thats where things go that can't be delivered like mail to santa clause, God, The king of Canada, etc... Checking dead mail will force them to put the receipt number in the system and they will say "it was delivered on...."
Then you can nail the creep for mail fraud.

After all YOU HAVE THEIR ADDRESS!

had this happen to me as well. Sold a really nice bridle right before show season, sent it out when I got payment. Girl that bought it claimed never received. PayPal took the money from my account. I filed a complaint back to PayPal. They closed my account.

Fast forward to a month later at a local show. Yup. Girl was there and she was using the bridle she "never got" It had a very unique and handmade brow band(celtic)
If my husband hadnt been tagging along that day I would have said something to the little witch

BTW I HATE PAYPAL
