Hello!

Since this morning my little Silver Spangled Hamburg pullet has been;
  • Limping
  • Laying down a lot
  • been disoriented
  • Trips over
  • steps on own toes
  • When i put her down from holding/moving she just lays on her side.

I dont know whats happening. Any ideas?

[[NOTE: She does have a companion, A little cross named Luna who's but A LOT smaller than her.]]

Heres a picture of what happened when i put her down this morning:

Thanks.

Yes, She eats well but she doesn't drink much. When it gets hot her I need to manually put her head near the bowl until she drinks it. She's getting better though.

could you get her to eat things with alot of water content, like watermelon or make her feed wetter so she gets some fluid into her. Would she drink a bit of sugar water, or pedialite?

It could be Marek's. What you described are some of the symptoms. Infected birds will have issues walking, but otherwise seem fine and like they are getting better. There are many more symptoms of course. Then they take a turn for the worse and many people are forced to cull the bird after that. http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/index.jsp?cfile=htm/bc/203602.htm Check that out for more info on Marek's disease.
