I have 2 roosters with 6 hens they seem to favor one hen to the point that she has no feathers on he back and has bald spots on her head they dont do it to the other hens what can i do to stop this or do i need to get rid of the roosters

You can put an apron or saddle on the hen. I would get rid of one of the roosters. It may not stop the other one from overmating, but the lack of competition will hopefully reduce his aggression. I'd watch them enough to be sure which is the gentler, or even remove them one at a time to see how the other behaves as a lone rooster. Also, perhaps only one of them favors that particular hen.

You can buy saddles (see our BST forum,) or make one. Polarfleece works well. I just cut two holes for the wings and put it on the hen. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get the size right, but when you do, it can stay on indefinitely, and the hen pays no attention once it's been in place a little while. Prevents sunburn and protects them till they molt and grow new feathers.
