Chirping
So my chick Squash started limping mildly two days ago and has steadily gotten worse. I originally thought it was a sprain, but now I’m very concerned it’s something way worse.
Two days ago she could walk, although you could tell it was painful. I didn’t bring her in because she was able to move around and had pulled a muscle from jumping off things before. Yesterday she was barely able to walk, so I checked for broken bones and didn’t feel anything. I wanted to bring her inside, but I didn’t because I (stupidly) thought that she would be better outside with her group.
This morning I had let them out of their coop and she wasn’t at the door. I got her out of the coop and put her in front of the feed/water and watched her eat. I had looked away for a moment and then caught my rooster (who is about her size, but outweighs her by several ounces) attempting to mate her. I drove him away and finally took her inside and set her up with some food and water close by.
Now here’s what concerns me: When I brought her in and placed her on a pee pad, she pooped and had two drops of blood in it. I’m not sure if it’s mating related or not. She now sits in a W shape, with drooping wings, and doesn't move much. She still eats, but I haven’t seen her drink yet (I’m fixing to syringe feed). When I pick her up she moves both legs and wings, but won’t stand up at all.
Is ther anything I can do or am I too late?
