Problem with a peachicks rear-end

Yogurt like Activia works very well on chicken chicks. It gives them some gut bacteria/flora so that they can start digesting instead of just pooping the food out.
In the wild peachicks will peck at moms/other poop and pick up gut flora that way naturally.

Yes, get some feed, wet it a little and mix in some yogurt. It does not need to be much, but I do not think it does any harm if they eat a lot. Also the little bit of sugar for newly hatched chicks seems to give them a boost.

I am feeding them a chick starter from Bomgaars. Will be putting vasaline on here in a few minutes after I get everything cleaned up.

Just remember to keep cleaning! Like Doug said, they will clog up and die when they cant poop. It will pass but the vasoline will make it easier to clean and some poop not to stick. Is the chick starter medicated?

Just got done cleaning and vasalined up....then it poops. So I had to do it again. It can go to the bathroom fine it just doesnt make it all the way out and the rest hangs there.
I am pretty sure it is, I'll have to check.

You can also use a Q-tip with vasoline and actually lube up the vent area and just inside the vent. It will help it pass a little easier. Keep doing this until the problem stops. It sounds like it is having a little problem. I would also try the yogart like Phage mentioned. It will help losten up the stool.
