problem with chick's leg

Hi,
I have 4wk old chicks. One of them has developed a swollen joint on its leg. It is limping. It doesn't sqwack in pain but must not be comfortable.
Is this probably an infection of some sort? I looked closely and could not find any cut or scrape near the swelling.
I'd appreciate any advise.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your chic. I've never had any experience with that type of leg problem,but could be a slipped tendon. I'm not for certain.
You may want to seperate the little one with another chic for company.
Maybe someone else can give ya somemore advice but he's a link with a little info... look at the bottom of the page
