You have made my day

. Most especially for caring about this bird, whether or not she was going to be able to lay eggs in the future, and also because she seems to be faring well after that rather worrisome looking stuff she expelled! Also, your photos are truly beautiful. Thanks and best wishes! JJ

Its been a while since my reproduction and physiology classes. However, it looks like that she did pass her ovary. You can clearly see the yolks in various stages. I hope she continues to do well.

Flufnstuffs--I remember seeing the photos you mentioned on BrownEggBlueEgg's site. Here's the link for those that haven't seen them.
Brown Egg Blue Egg Scroll down and click on "weird eggs". Maybe Peter Brown would like to share your hen's egg pictures on his website.
Feather Fanciers

Kura, thank you for sharing your amazing photos! You have a wonderful talent for photography. Please share more whenever you can. And I'm so happy to hear your beautiful Onagadori is doing well.

beautiful hen and beautiful pictures.

an amazing story..and you say she has laid eggs since?
it's definitely an ovary..
is it possible this girl could have been using both ovaries?
and one has passed?

I'm inclined to think about an antibiotic..since it must have been infection to cause the ovary to be expelled.
why else would it have been expelled?
any ideas?

I hope she continues to do well..

Kura - I am so glad she is OK.

Those pictures are great. you must have a good camera,
If I try to take pictures and there is any movement at all the picture is fuzzy.
