Problem with my heat source or thermostat

Can someone help me?

I have built an incubator. My heat source is nichrome wire 1000W. Connected in series with a thermostat and a pilot bulb and runs at 220Vac. I tested the nichrome wire before installing the thermostat and the light bulb and it heats up pretty quickly. Now that I have installed the thermostat and light bulb, my nichrome wire does not heat up anymore.

What do you think is the problem? The heat source or the thermostat? By the way I am using a thermostat with a range of 30 - 100 degrees celsius. It does not heat up even I set it to max. I have ran the circuit for more than 5 minutes. Light, yes, indicating the circuit is closed but no heat from the nichrome wire.

I already got it to work. I separated my indicator bulb from my thermostat and nichrome connection. It works. I have dry run it and have maintained a 100-102 degrees Fahrenheit temperature. Sometimes it goes to a 104. Maybe the ambient temp affects it but it drops back to a 100 - 102 for a short while.
