Problem with my quail

For the last 5 day it seems to be sick. It is on its back and shivering. It could not walk or stand on its feet. It was like it was struggling to walk.
So we took it in and kept it warm and feed it water and food. it was getting better and could stand on it own and walk around.
Now its on it back again shivering and looks its dying. What is wrong with my 3 year old quail? Does it have a disease?

The most common reason for quail looking/acting sick, especially if they are having trouble walking and standing, is that they've got a fright, flushed straight up and given themself a good whack on the head on the roof of their cage. You may have to add something soft to the roof of their cage to soften the blow if they do it again, or lower the roof so that it's no higher than a foot as they can't get as much speed up in that short height so can't injure themselves badly. They are very tough birds so hopefully your bird will recover.

I agree, could be injured - keeping a hurt animal warm is recommended for healing and I would soften up the roof before putting it back too good luck!!
