Yes I am new to raising chickens and have 25 3-4 week old chicks. Everything was going great until today ~ there were two Chicks that were pecked at their back end, so what I am asking anyone, besides seperating them from the flock and making sure they have plenty of water & food - what can I put on the affected area to heal up? I would appreciate all the imput I can get. My husband had to make a bigger Make-Shift Coop till the one he is building for the Chickens is ready. Never a dull moment. [IMG]

i would def separate them - any bloody or infected area will draw the attention of the other chicks :( and more pecking ..... just keep it clean and dry .... it should heal on its own ..
