Oooh I just got some money and I want to use it for one thing only... At first I was thinking for a new haircut over the summer BUT I was thinking about lap chickens! There was this cute little bantam Mrs. Olvera's daughter was carrying around and I felt slightly jealous because well, I love cuddly huggable chickens!
We don't go to this ranch anymore because their chickens have buggies... So the animal auction in Lancaster is our best bet.
Unfortunately, being a quiet observer there I've noticed the bantams (both hen and roo) are auctioned as high as 500 dollars. Oh my god... Well the roosters go that high the hens are more like 200-300 dollars. I have around 50 bucks
Judging by that what do you guys think the auction price of a bantam chick would go?
That's my first question. My second is breed. I'll send NoseyChickens a PM asking what breed that one tiny girl was.. It was orange and had black and white spots all over it. It looked like it had muffs but I can't really remember. Please help with breed and breed pricing.
Third question is, well if the animal auction and it's apparently rich buyers don't work with my budget, where else can I go? If you live in California around my zipcode 93523 do you know of any places that has chickens for a decent price?
Ugh it stings me everyday... Wanting these nice chickens. Also, if anyone has bantam chicks (I'll update this when I find out the breed) PM me... I am willing to do chicken trading, as I don't like some of my cochin pullets (I guess I don't have enough patience for them). Theres a lovely black one I call Evil Eyes and she's beautiful but doesn't like to be picked up or touched. I also have blue cochins too.
