Problems for new emu owners

My avian vet has had an emu pair for 36 years!

Here he is, laughing at mine and us for driving them 3 hours to see him because they ate a box of roofing screws. They are three years old now!

Three years old. (and seeing chicks tame enough to stand about in a vet's office is a fine thing for me.)

Hey, Sheriff!! I am learning to cope: dawn and dusk. Peepin' out the window of the cool moist laundry window. Makin' guesses from vocalisations.
