Problems for new emu owners

My avian vet has had an emu pair for 36 years!

Here he is, laughing at mine and us for driving them 3 hours to see him because they ate a box of roofing screws. They are three years old now!

 
Oh wow, Sheriff! I remember that!

Three years old. (and seeing chicks tame enough to stand about in a vet's office is a fine thing for me.)

Hi Mark! Nice seeing you around here so much lately. You were sure missed. That's funny that you remember our calamity with the roofing screws. Good grief those boys gave us a run for our money. I still love 'em though!
