I have a golden laced wyandotte who has not grown at all since I have gotten her. She eats and drinks but is still very small bony, and lethargic all the time. She drinks waiter with a vitamin, electrolyte, and probiotic powder in it and I give them medicated starter feed with crushed sage and garlic in it. All the others are healthy as can be. I had another golden laced wyandotte with the same problems and we lost her a few weeks back. The man at the feed store told me that wyandottes tend to be smaller and more of the runt but as long as they eat and drink should be fine. Any advice/experience?

Thanks!!

No advice here, but I have two golden laced and one Colombian and never had an issue. In fact my two goldens are bigger than others in the flock the same age. Are they from the same hatch?

We just purchased our very 1st Wyandottes ( we bought 2 and a austrilorp) and they recommended NOT to use the medicated feed. Maybe switch them to regular? Hope they get better...

When I raised blue laced reds, they were very healthy chicks. Some of them feathered slow, but they weren't "runty" by any means.

I didn't feed the medicated feed, but I don't feed it at all.

I'd guess theres just some kind of genetic defect going on with your chick (and the one you lost). Some just aren't meant to survive, no matter how hard we try to save them :/

Often times I have heard of medicated feed causing problems for chicks. It's uncommon though. If you think it's the medicated feed, take them off it. All of my chicks were perfectly healthy without the medication.

Also, I raised some Wyandottes myself. They were never runty. If anything they bullied the other chicks :I.

update:
She is dying. Same situation as the last - perfectly fine all day, and all the sudden limp, eyes closed, no movement at all, very slow breathing. I thought it would be easier this time but it's still just as tough.
