Problems re-pairing pigeons?

I had my roller hen mate and raise squabs with a homer cock bird. I wanted her to mate my other roller cock so I put them in a hutch together. It seems like its taking a while. Its been about a week. I'm fairly new to pigeons, so how long does it usually take for them to re-pair?

Hello,

It can take awhile, possibly months for a forced pair to mate up. Sometimes they simply won't, but this is rare. Give them more time still to start finding an interest in each other.

It works quicker if you have them in a place where they can't see or hear the old mate. Frequently if you return "arranged" matings back to the loft, they will return to their original mate. For some pigeons the pair bond is extremely strong-- others are just like humans.
