Problems with my HHD 12 Egg Incubator

I recently got the HHD 12 egg incubator and I been trying to set it up but am total lost. I had it set on the correct temperature of 38c. The alarm was going off so I tried to change the numbers of the low alarm and now I cannot get it back to the screen to show temperature where I can put it back to like 38.5. When I turn it on it just shows 100 degrees Celsius with no dot in it. And all the levels will not let me change between 86 -103 and that’s it. It’s almost like farenheight temperature but says Celsius. Please help cause 2 hours later I am lost.

I don’t have experience with incubation, but the quickest option if you got the incubator in a store close by is to get another incubator.

I think you should turn the incubator off right now, as the heat’s way too high. Eggs would be more likely to survive with an off incubator for a while as opposed to the possibility that it is 102 degrees celsius. I don’t have any experience with incubation, so I hope this doesn’t make things worse. Are the eggs already inside? And maybe @MadamContrary can help.

I'm not familiar with the model. Hopefully you're just in the set up stage. A quick Google search turned up numerous videos on set up and incubation for that model. There's bound to be something there to help you figure out of its just settings or if it's a faulty unit.
Have you used a second thermometer to confirm the temperature readout?

The eggs were not inside. I took them out. It was originally reading 38.5 as supposed too but now there is no decimal. It seems to me it’s reading farenheight temperatures cause feeling it it is definitely not the temp it is saying. It feels the same as it did at 38.5

It was working fine, reading 38.5 then when I put the eggs inside and set it on the shelf the low heat alarm went off which I expected it to drop some. So I was trying to get the alarm off and somehow it’s went to this to where now I can’t set temp under 70 nor higher then 103 which is the farenheight temps for those numbers so it makes me think it flashed over to farenheight but weird cause it still says Celsius.

The thermometer is not accurate. It doesn't hold humidity well either

I battled with a dodgy incubator for a while. I don't know this brand but my suggestion would be to disconnect the alarm if you can and use an independent thermometer and humidity sensor. Try to work out how to stabilize both before putting eggs in. Good luck.
