Hello all! My incubator chicks hatched yesterday 8 of them, 5 of which are perfect bouncy curious tlkative however twoare quite lathargic, im always finding them lying flat on the cage floor many times withh there positioning ive feared them dead however there still going!! Both had there eyes shut for a day and wouldnt really stand, or eat or drink that ive seen. I came in at one point to find one laying on its back tweeting but unable to move. At this point i took to the internet and googeled all i could about chicks like them but nothing really said exactly what to do, i followed the advis to have them around you a lot, so they have been lying on my chest for around two hours, ive also been talking to them and washed there eyes with a q tip to truly brilliant results!!!! The larger one has perked up to e point that im barely worried about it anymore, still a bit weak but eyes are both open and it keeps tweeting and pecking, confident it should be fine. The smaller one, the one i was truly worried was on deaths door when i
Picked it up as it was droopy and floppy, is also doing a whole lot better tweeting occasionally opening eyes nuzzeling sometimes pecking, think ill try feeding them sugar water, and have them in my room tonight but any other advice?? Secondly one chick although very alive and active has weird curvy feet whoch as with the lethargic chickss i think is a side affect of them being premature as they were in an incubator with older eggs meaning when those eggs started hatching thesechicks did too
