Hi, I am new at incubating eggs but I ran into a problem while turning the eggs. I used the gopher bator design but built it to hatch 18 eggs at a time. The gopher bator shows the egg carton crosswise in the cooler. well, with a 18 egg system, you need to have the eggs higher to get a good angle on the turn, but I didn't consider the fact that the temperature will vary quite a bit when the eggs are turned away from the heat source vs facing heat. There is at least a 8 degree difference. before I do the next batch. I am going to turn the egg platform 90 degrees so I get a more uniform temperature.
has anyone else had this problem?

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
